Overview of Objectives

Lesson One:

1. After watching a video of a teenager, Abba, talking about his online presence, learners will list three positive aspects of Abba’s online presence.
1.1 Given the definition of a digital footprint, learners will identify the definition of a digital footprint correctly.
2. Given a discussion prompt, learners will write a response that includes two examples of how information online can be good for one’s reputation and two examples of how it can be bad for one’s reputation.
2.1 Given a drag-and-drop activity, learners will practice identifying what behavior is good for the one’s reputation and behavior that is harmful to one’s reputation.

Lesson Two:

3. Given three reflection questions pertaining to the article, learners will respond with their opinions including an explanation of the reasons for their opinions.
3.1 Given an example of a situation where friends don’t agree on keeping something posted online, learners will respond in a way that shows proper social etiquette.
3.3 Given a drag-and-drop activity, learners will practice making identifying the appropriate decision questions to ask themselves before posting online.

Lesson Three:

4. After selecting a candidate for college admission, learners will write an essay explaining at least three reasons for their selection and back up reasons with evidence from the applications and online posts of the candidates.
4.1 Given a feedback form, learners will take notes explaining what information about each candidate makes each appealing or questionable.
